Camacho developed an interest in acting after she attended an acting course at the recommendation of her friend. She was immediately smitten with acting. When she moved to San Francisco California, she began working as a waitingress as she attended the American Conservatory Theatre. She later appeared in several shows on stage and in television in Chicago. Camacho's debut on screen was 2007 with an episode of the children's series "Come On over'. The first time she appeared on screen was one year later, in the romantic comedy indie 'Desertion'. In the ensuing years she's established her name as an actress of note, especially on television.
